No previous science experience needed, just plenty of curiosity.
â
We have a group for students in group 1-4 and another for students in group 5-7. Although the theme of the lesson will be the same, the content will de different.

WINFORD CLUB
Mindful Minds: Sensory Lab
Term: Sep - Dec 2026
Lessons taught in English.
Our after-school club at Winford is a calm, nurturing and engaging programme designed especially for children aged 4–8 years. The club runs on Wednesdays from 13:00–17:00 (4 hours) and includes a full afternoon of planned mindfulness and sensory activities, indoor and outdoor play, and snacks provided (fruit/vegetables/ crackers and spreads).
â
This terms theme will explore Summer & Fall. Each session is based around a seasonal theme encouraging children to explore what they see, feel, and experience-both physically and emotionally. Children are introduced to the theme through stories, games, songs, colours and discussion.
â
The afternoon includes hands-on sensory play using tuff trays and carefully planned take-home activities that support creativity, curiosity and fine motor development. We also build in mindfulness moments, such as colouring, simple yoga and breathing exercises, helping children relax and regulate after a busy school day.
â
âAll activities age-appropriate, inclusive and delivered in a safe, supportive environment. Students from neighbouring/ outside schools are welcome to join!
Below we have included the dates for the Dutch or Bilingual streams, so you can book in which suits you best. We do need a minimum of 8 kids to start this fantastic project.â

School fieldtrip
A visit to The Science Camp offers classes a 1 to 1.5 hour hands-on science experience designed to spark curiosity and introduce young learners to the world of science.
â
A short and engaging presentation introduces what a scientist is and explores different branches of science, supported by visual material on a projector. The experience continues with a guided introduction to the lab environment, where real scientific tools are explored in a safe and accessible way.
â
Activities include working with a digital microscope, observing onion peel cells, and creating a simple slide to take home. The session also includes a fun, age-appropriate slime activity, including “blood slime,” while introducing in a simple way what blood is made of.
â
A variety of programmes is available for children aged 4 to 12, with activities tailored to different age groups and levels of understanding. Each visit is designed to offer a meaningful science experience where exploration, creativity, and discovery come together in a playful and structured environment.

SCHOOL PROJECTS
-
robots maken
-
wetenschappelijke proefjes doen
-
rakketten maken en lanceren
-
slime maken
-
3d pennen
-
